ERPNext is an open-source ERP built by Frappe Technologies. It covers manufacturing, inventory, buying, selling, accounting, quality, HR and projects. For a manufacturer it handles multi-level bills of materials, work orders, job cards, subcontracting and material requirement planning, so it suits discrete and process plants alike.
How long does an ERPNext implementation take?
It depends on the number of plants and modules, and on how clean your current data is. A single plant on the core modules usually takes weeks to a few months. Discovery ends with a written plan and timeline, so you know the dates before any configuration starts.
What does an ERPNext implementation cost?
The ERPNext software is free under an open-source licence, with no fee per user. You pay for the implementation work, for hosting on Frappe Cloud or your own server, and for support if you want it. We write the scope first and quote against it, so you know the cost of an ERPNext implementation for your plant before work begins.
Are you a Frappe partner?
No. Metageeks is an independent ERPNext implementation partner: we are not on Frappe's partner list and do not resell Frappe services. We implement, customize and support ERPNext ourselves, and everything we build sits in your account, so you can move to another team whenever you choose.
Can you customize ERPNext for our processes?
Yes. Most needs are met by configuration: custom fields, print formats, workflows and reports. Where they are not, we build a custom Frappe app, so your changes survive ERPNext upgrades instead of living as edits to the core code.
Can you move our data from Tally or Excel?
Yes. We migrate item masters, BOMs, customers, suppliers, open orders, opening stock and opening balances from Tally, Excel or your current ERP. Each import is reconciled against the source before go-live, and Tally can run in parallel for a closing period if your accountant prefers.
Do you provide training and support?
Yes. Training goes role by role: stores, production, purchase, sales and accounts each learn the screens they use. After go-live we offer support on a monthly retainer, covering fixes, version upgrades and new workflows.
Do you work with small and mid-sized manufacturers?
Yes, and they are who ERPNext suits best. With no licence fee per user, a small plant pays for the setup it needs rather than for seats. We work with manufacturers across India, in person in Delhi NCR and remotely everywhere else.
